From one of Martin's most known collections, the 2nd collection in the 'Flat' series which in order to further focus on the clothes, abandons the runway format and substitutes models with marionettes made by @jane_how to present the collection. Notably the marionettes were wrapped in plastic, which is most likely a callback to his fall 1988 show, and the over errie feeling of the presentation.

This particular piece is called an "Envelop knit", official documentation explains" Knitted squares in different weights have two slits as armholes. Long zips once closed, allow that these squares become close fitting jackets with large collars.

The piece is featured as both a top and a skirt in the runway presentation.

These pieces are as rare as they come, especially in such
impeccable condition.
