From one of the most important and influential collection of the prodigy of Rei Kawakubo, Junya Watanabe’s Fall 2006 “Deconstruction, Reconstruction” is the fantastic creation of Watanabe’s love for punk culture and an obsession with deconstruction

The collection was heavily inspired by punk fashion and taxi driver, models wearing earth-toned military-esque garments, the garments themselves tend to showcase its own painstaking DIY-like process of deconstructing and reconstructing into a final garment

This particular piece is inspired by military N-2B/ N-3B jackets, distinguished by its unique split hood design, which had also since became a Junya staple piece

The piece is a highlight of the collection, a piece that solely define the minute relationship between military and punk fashion

The coat is made from nylon and padded with polyester, which makes its quite warm and suitable for fall weathers

The coat can be either zipped up or buttoned up

The coat has several pockets, one on the left shoulder as inspired by the original garment, and two pockets near the waist which can also access to the inside of the coat
