Also very important, this Vareuse design that Margiela introduced for his debut collection Fall 1998 for Hermès, a simple unbuttoned plunging neck design on shirts, sweaters and jackets

There are only two spring collections where the Vareuse design was used on sweaters, Spring 1999 and Spring 2000, but there is a very subtle knit pattern difference that matches that of Spring 2000
